Part 1 |
Street v. Taylor and Mullen
Case brought by John Street of Liverpool, a Cooper, against William Taylor and Thomas Mullen the executors of the will of Samuel Mears who owned a public brewery in Liverpool. Between 1780 and 1781 Street had dealings with Mears, including a commission to make 114 barrel casks at 12 shillings per cask. Street was part paid for this in ale, but when Mears died, four months before this case was brought, Mears still owed Street a sum of money, which Street is now demanding from the executors who have not produced it. No family members mentioned.
