Part 1

Ackerley v. Bindloss

Case brought by Samuel Ackerley of Liverpool gentleman and draper against James Backhouse Bindoss and Richard Bindoss cotton manufacturers of Liverpool. Before July 1807 Ackerley carried on a business as a draper in Liverpool and had dealings with the Bindosses. Ackerley claims that he ordered goods on six months credit from them, but they demanded payment after three months and have brought an action at law against him for this.
